As a self-employed worker you need the following documents:
ID card or passport for identification;
BSN number (Citizen Service Number) for administrative purposes;
IBAN (bank account number) for payments;
VCA certificate to prove that you can work safely on construction sites (VCA VOL is recommended);
VAT identification number if applicable for VAT returns;
Chamber of Commerce (KVK) registration; a digitally certified extract from the Chamber of Commerce;
Insurance, such as business liability insurance, depending on your profession.
